Reflexology For Kitties

Rusty has history (doesn’t everyone) that he won’t/can’t share with me.  When he came to me from the breeders at eightish years old he had been returned as an “unsuitable pet” and was very low weight and very unhappy and VERY shy and nervous.  He’s been with me about two years now and the changes are dramatic.  I love that he has put on weight bulking up with some real muscle tone, that he is less skittish, that he doesn’t vomit as much as when he arrived.  But most of all…

I love how much, when he is relaxed, he is totally relaxed.  Every part of his body can be petted and he especially likes a foot massage.  He relaxes his feet, then splays out his toes, then relaxes them again.  Purring all the while.

I think I’m doing it right – but maybe I need to get out a book on foot reflexology (for kitties)… wonder if the library has that…

That’s wonderful that Rusty is doing so well with you. The sign of a wonderful cat mama!

You are magic with kitties, Elaine! It’s hard to believe it’s the same cat!
