Are you PACKING that suitcase?!

Understand that both both kitties LOVE riding on the rolling suitcases, and playing in open ones – HOWEVER, they aren’t thrilled when packing starts for real.

But its okay – they get to go to a kitty “spa” with lots of fun things and its only forever (a couple of weeks).

I’ll no doubt miss them as much, but they will have fun people to meet and new toys to play with (just like I will).

Is that for me?!

He is only mildly interested in the meat pie I am having for my lunch. What is really getting his attention is that the side table/tv tray is new and he is fascinated that there is another piece of furniture that just “magically” appeared in the middle of his play floor.

And worst of all… it appeared and there are other things than HIM on this new piece of furniture. HE should have first dibs on sitting on it!

Baking Cat

Ziggy loves it when I bake. He hasn’t tired of being the snoopervisor laying on the floor in front of the oven to monitor the goings on.

Of course it has NOTHING to do with the vent at the bottom that is baking the cat!

When things are ready to come out he starts to pretend he can’t hear me or see me in the hopes I won’t shoo him away to open the door. Sorry little one… (it really is for your safety not me being mean).

He doesn’t believe me that it is for that… he is sure I’m just being arbitrarily mean when he is all melted in total relaxation.

Scout is NOT amused

I want you to notice there are three (count them, yes 3!) comfortable spots for Scout to be sitting/laying. One of them even has a heating pad to snuggle on. Where is he? On the cold hard box sulking.

Why is he sulking? I’ve been moving my office location and HIS office chair isn’t next to the computer right now.

(I do agree with him, moving is very disruptive and can make one grumpy.) It will get better.

The CATastrophic event…

Ziggy LOVES to run in his wheel (Scout does too but it is Ziggy that NEEDS it).

The big running wheel (that I’ve had for 20 years) broke… and Ziggy was forlorn (understatement).

Thanks to modern shipping and wonderful siblings – we got a new one that said “some assembly required”. HA! (total building required – took three of us about three hours). Anyway here is a happy Ziggy in his new wheel (everything is better now)

WHO?! is that?

I don’t know if my two kitties have ever met a baby before – but this was the first time they did in my presence.

Scout approached with extreme caution, Ziggy a bit more inquisitive but still careful. As the meeting progressed much giggling was had by all – but certainly not at first.

A wonderful neighbour friend of mine wanted to take her dog out for a walk and didn’t want to bundle up her young man for the abnormal cold snap we were having. That left me as a sitter for just a few minutes – much fun was had by all.
